Setting out the formation level.

Today the formation was roughed out and you can start to see the shape of the building in the ground. These photos show Stuart, who has been doing the excavations, showing me the top of the slab height with a laser level.

Tomorrow will see the final roughing out of the formation and then the final levelling which will get us down to ground hard enough to place the Type 1 stone, which when compacted, will form the base layer of the building foundation system. If there are any soft spots these will need to be dug out as well and then filled in so we are hoping for as few of these as possible!
