We believe in embedding sustainable aspirations into all of our projects: to us sustainable design and high quality architecture are inseparable.
Since 2020 we have committed to only design our new build architecture to the rigorous Passivhaus standard as this means that your new home will be as energy efficient as possible, lowering your running costs and improving your comfort and well being.
In our works to existing buildings we will also work in tandem with you to determine the best ways to improve the energy efficiency of your home, alongside re-working your current spaces to make them work harder for you, and possibly adding new ones too.
In all of our designs we specify natural, bio-based materials whenever possible in order to create healthy, comfortable and low embodied carbon architecture.
Every construction project can be broken down into several stages, each with a definable milestone at the end.

Every architectural project begins with an idea - a moment in time where either a need or a desire for change initiates a conversation. Whether you want to alter or extend your current home, build a new one, or build several for someone else, we want to hear from you.
We believe this is a collaborative process - together we will work out what you need, what you want, and what can be afforded for your budget.
We will then pull together a design team who will work closely with you to develop your ideas into a brief, work through the various statutory and technical challenges, and help you every step of the way to prepare for your project to begin on site.

Once you are ready and all of the relevant drawings and documents have been prepared, you are now ready to take the plunge and turn your dream into a reality.
This phase of the project is very exciting, as you start to realize your initial vision in three dimensions. Once again we will be with you every step along the way, guiding and advising, inspecting and assessing. -
Once the building process has been completed we will undertake a handover process with you, and the next adventure begins - living in your new home!
We will leave you with a good working knowledge of any technologies or systems that have been installed, so that you can live comfortably and healthily.

Initial design
Every project begins with information gathering & research, and culminates in a design that is ready for the Planning Application.

Technical design
During this phase we produce the technical design information, and coordinate with other consultants. This stage concludes with the Building Warrant / Regulations Application.

Construction information
We work with the rest of the design team to expand and develop the technical design into a construction information package, ready to build from.

Construction
This is an exciting phase: all of the preceding months of hard work come to fruition as the building project is realised.

Handover & close out
This penultimate phase is when the building is handed back to you, ready for you to move in and really make it your own.

Evaluation & optimisation
We always conclude our projects with some post occupancy evaluation: this is when we check everything is working as planned and arrange for any optimisations to be made.
