First finishing joinery fitted!

May 14, 2016

Today saw the installation of the first of our finishing joinery when Joachim King came back to fit the beautiful lacquered plywood shelving he has made for us.

After a month or two of completing all of the plasterboard, beading, and the last of the intermediate floor ceiling fermacell it was really satisfying to see something that constitutes a finishing item being fitted!

We have 3 plywood boxes which are recessed into the inner box: one in the living room, one in the office and a long slim one in the bathroom. These will be fitted flush with the black stained oak wall linings, and will add some brightness and colour to these walls.

This is the one in the living room.
